The Reason Why WWE Is No Longer Numbering WrestleMania Events

WWE is reportedly no longer using numbers in their WrestleMania branding going forward. In the past the company has traditionally used roman numerals but sometimes also used numbers. WrestleMania 30, last year was branded with "XXX" which is 30 in numerals.

WWE will now use symbols to distinguish each event.

The 2015 WrestleMania logo features a "Play" button to represent Silicon Valley, which is near Levi's Stadium, in Santa Clara, California while the 2016 WrestleMania logo features a star to represent the "Lone Star State."

Apparently, Vince McMahon feels events branded with numbers seems "too old" and dated.
