WWE NXT Results: 02/25/15

We are welcomed inside Full Sail University by Tom Phillips, Alex Riley, and Corey Graves. Hideo Itami’s music hits as he comes to the ring. His opponent Bull Dempsey is out next.

Hideo Itami vs. Bull Dempsey

Dempsey throws Itami into the corner then hits a big elbow off the ropes. Dempsey continues to hit elbows as Itami tries a comeback with a kick but Dempsey hits a clothesline then goes for a cover but only gets a two count. Dempsey hits a series of elbows and goes for another cover but again only gets a two count. Dempsey applies a chin lock to wear Itami down. Itami fights back only to get cleaned out by Dempsey who gets another two count. Itami hits some punches and kicks and then a drop kick in the corner. Hideo then hits a flying drop kick and gets the cover for the pin.

Winner: Hideo Itami

After the match they recap what we just saw. After the match Tyler Breeze attacks Hideo Itami on the ramp. Breeze tries to take a selfie but Itami chases him into the ring. Itami kicks Breeze and Breeze escapes.

They announce next week it will be Woman’s Champion Sasha Banks vs. Charlotte. Tonight we will have Bayley vs. Beck Lynch. They also hype the return of Brian Kendrick.

Commercial:

Back from the break we get a video hyping Brian Kendrick and his return. After the video the Lucha Dragons make their way to the ring. Their opponents are Tye Dillinger & Jason Jordon they make their way to the ring. We have interference on the screen as we go to a Solomon Crowe promo. He says he is on a mission that won’t be complete until he is NXT champion.

Lucha Dragons vs. Tye Dillinger & Jason Jordan

We start off with Sin Cara and Jordon in the ring. Jordan gets a takedown but Sin Cara gets the upper hand and gets a blind tag. Jordan then hits a back breaker on Kalisto and then gets a two count. Jordan tags Dillinger who hits a knee then gets a two count. Kalisto fights his way back to his corner and gets a tag to Sin Cara. They hit a double kick then Kalisto hits a senton of the ropes and Sin Cara gets a two count. Sin Cara tags Kalisto who hits a flip of Sin Cara onto Dillinger and gets another two count. Kalisto gets another tag and Sin Cara gets a two count. Jordan asks Dillinger for the tag and Dillinger tells him to relax. Sin Cara hits a drop kick and tags Kalisto. Kalisto hits a springboard kick then hits a series of kicks to the lower section of Dillinger. Dillinger fights back and goes to tag Jordan but Jordon jumps of the apron and walks up the ramp. Kalisto hits the SDS and tags Sin Cara who hits a senton from the top rope and gets a three count for the win.

Winners: the Lucha Dragons

After the match they recap what we just saw. In the back Finn Balor is interviewed. Balor is asked about Owens. Balor says he will deal with Owens in time but tonight he is focused on Kendrick.

Commercial:

Back from the break Dillinger is in the ring and he wants Jordan to come out and explain what he just did. He says he doesn’t care whose match is next he will beat and whoop that man. Baron Corbin’s music hits and out he comes.

Tye Dillinger vs. Baron Corbin

Corbin take shim down with a clothesline then hits the “End of Days’ and gets the pin for the win.

Winner: Baron Corbin

They recap the short match and talk about the dominance of Baron Corbin. In the back Devin Taylor asks Charlotte what her mindset is going into her match with Sasha Banks next week. Charlotte says Sasha has never beaten her one-on-one and the title is coming back to where it belongs.

We go two a video of Tyler Breeze saying Itami fell into his trap and he is going to squash him. They announce next week Sami Zayn will be back and address the fans for the first time since his loss to Kevin Owens. They show highlights of the WWE trip to Abu Dhabi.

Bayleys music hits and she comes out to a nice reaction. Her opponent is Becky Lynch as she is out next.

Bayley vs. Becky Lynch

They lock up in the center of the ring with Beck hitting a shoulder tackle. Bayley drives her to the mat getting the upper hand. Bayley goes for a splash in the corner but misses and Lynch hits a pump handle suplex for a two count. Lynch hits a number of leg drops and gets another two count. Lynch applies a chin lick and wears Bayley down in the center of the ring. Bayley fights back but Lynch hits a huge uppercut. Bayley then catches Lynch who falls of the apron to the outside. Bayley goes to the outside and kicks Lynch and throws her back in the ring. Lynch catches Bayley as she is coming back into the ring. Lynch throws Bayley of the ropes but Bayley hits a series of elbows. Lynch hits a knee then Bayley hits a drop toe hold followed by a shoulder to the mid-section and some elbows in the corner. Bayley places Lynch on the top rope but Lynch pushes her off. Bayley goes back to the top rope and hits an elbow off the top and gets a two count. The announcers point out Bayley has an injured arm/shoulder. Lynch takes Bayley down by the injured arm and applies a submission hold and Bayley taps out.

Winner: Becky Lynch

They recap the match and the submission hold implying Bayley has an injured arm. In the back Devin Taylor is talking to Rhyno. She says people are shocked he showed up in NXT and asks him to talk about it. He says he is here because NXT is all he hears about. He said he sees the intensity in the superstars the same he ahs. He said he felt the fire he has always had, he says if you want to make a statement you go to NXT.

Commercial:

Back from the break Jason Jordan is asked why he walked out on Dillinger he said he will give an explanation when he is ready. Kevin Owens is at ringside for commentary. Brian Kendrick comes to the ring. His opponent Finn Balor is out next. They ask Owens what he thinks of Balor he says he has a lot of respect for him.

Brian Kendrick vs. Finn Balor

They spend for the first few minutes feeling each other out with some reversals. Balor hits a kick to the head of Kendrick. Balor tosses Kendrick out onto the apron as Kendrick flips back in and he lands awkwardly injuring his leg or ankle. Owens questions why Balor is letting the referee check on Kendrick and not attacking him. Kendrick rolls up Balor for a two count. Kendrick wears Balor down in the center of the ring with a head lock. Balor gets back to his feet and hits a huge drop kick taking Kendrick to the outside. On commentary Riley and Owens are going back and forth with Owens saying Riley doesn’t understand what he did because he was never a champion. Back to the action Balor throws Kendrick back into the ring. Kendrick hits a huge drop kick and Balor kicks out at two. Kendrick wears Balor down with a submission in the center of the ring. Riley tells Owens he was never a champion but he is a man and as a man he would never do that to a friend and then we see him turn his back on Owens. Owens says he is going to leave before he does something he will regret. Kendrick hits a shoulder tackle and gets another two count as we go to a break.

Commercial:

Back from the break Balor hits a kick then a series of clotheslines. Balor chops Kendrick in the corner. Riley talks about superstars returning to make an impact at NXT as Balor gets a two count. Kendrick hits a tornado DDT from the second rope and gets a two count. Kendrick then hits a drop kick from the top rope and hits a suplex and holds on for a two count. Balor hits a huge clothesline followed by a slingblade clothesline. Balor hits a running drop kick as he goes to the top rope and hits the double stomp for the three count.

Winner: Finn Balor

They recap what we just saw and the highlights of the match. We see Owens come back out as he stares down Balor then walks towards Riley. He attacks Riley and throws him over the announcers table and stares down Balor again as we go off the air.
