Further Details Regarding The Accident That Caused The Passing Of Jan Ross

As we already know by now, Jan Ross, the wife of WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross, recently passed away after being hit by a car while riding her Vespa from a gym near her home in Oklahoma and suffering multiple skull fractures as a result.

In updates from both Sportskeeda.com and The Wrestling Observer, they are both reporting that the individual responsible for the accident is a 17-year-old male who was allegedly texting and driving at the time that Mrs. Ross was struck. Earlier reports had apparently suggested this, but compete details were not known at the time.

Dave Meltzer had the following details to pass along on the most recent edition of Wrestling Observer Radio:

"She was like a block from the garage. It was a hill and I believe she was going down a hill, and the car was going down a hill, didn’t see her, and ran her over. I believe the 17 year old boy who was doing that, who went to Norman High School, was texting at the time."

Melzer further stated that peers of the 17-year-old refer to him as a "good person" and also said that "he would be feeling a lot of guilt for his actions."

As previously reported, Mr. Ross has stated that he will be honoring his previous WWE WrestleMania-related commitments this coming weekend in Orlando, Florida, as he will be hosting a couple of RINGSIDE: An Afternoon with Jim Ross & Friends shows on Saturday and Sunday at the Plaza LIVE.
